About the Chamber

The Greater Topsail Area Chamber enjoys support from approximately 250 members, whose businesses reach across the Chamber's service area, both on and off Topsail Island.

A 19-member board of directors, which elects it chairman annually, governs the Chamber. The Chamber staff is composed of one full time Chief Paid Executive, who serves at the pleasure of the board, along with a Welcome Center Coordinator and Business Manager.

The Chamber actively and aggressively promotes tourism for the Greater Topsail Area, and is also engaged in public policy and economic development issues.

The Topsail Area Chamber is a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the North Carolina Chamber, the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, the Carolinas Association of Chamber Executives and a number of additional professional organizations.

Chamber volunteers and staff are active with the North Carolina Beach, Inlet and Waterway Association, North Carolina's Eastern Region, the Council of Local Chambers, Chambers of Eastern North Carolina and both Onslow and Pender County Tourism.

The Greater Topsail Area Chamber advocates on behalf of business, and represents the interests of its members at the local, state and national levels.
